Social Media

Amy has collaborated on several social media campaigns.

While working at Zion & Zion, she planned and implemented multi-platform campaigns for clients Venezia's Pizza, Weider Global Nutrition and Mood Swings Salon. Measurable results included increasing Venezia's Twitter followers by 69% over five months. Amy also improved Facebook fan engagement for Weider Global Nutrition by increasing fan posts and "likes" by 21% over five months.

In it's first year of existence the ASU Downtown Dance Team was struggling to gain publicity or official recognition from the university and gain student interest in the team. To jumpstart campus awareness of the Downtown Dance Team, Amy created a social media campaign with the goal to create and establish an online identity for the team through four objectives:

•    Increase visibility and awareness of the Downtown Dance Team from campaign initiation to December 2010
•    Increase social media reach of Downtown Dance Team to stakeholders from campaign initiation to December 2010
•    Create a public, online archive of past performances from campaign initiation to December 2010
•    Create sense of team’s legitimacy and dedication to fundraising organizations considering funding requests on behalf of the team.

As a member of Arizona State University's PRSSA chapter, Amy and three other students planned and implemented a one-month social media campaign for the organization to increase web exposure, member engagement, and student access to professional opportunities, among other areas.

The campaign met and exceeded measurable goals. Among the results:
•    The blog received more than 1,000 web hits from Twitter alone.
•    The blog became a top Google result for the search “asu prssa” and related searches after less than one month.
•    PRSSA received positive feedback from students, professionals and other stakeholders.
•    The blog and Twitter presence became a driver of conversations and interactions about the PR industry from around the country.

Amy is currently working on her undergraduate thesis for Barrett, the Honors College. She chose to do an applied project: a social media campaign for the International Double Reed Society's 40th annual conference, hosted at Arizona State University in June 2011. Follow the conference on Facebook and Twitter.
